HOLIDAYS SERIES

This series (10-sessions or year long) focuses on the Jewish holidays. We will explore holiday stories, key characters and themes. We will incorporate Hebrew vocabulary and holiday songs in every class.

We will learn:

• High Holidays: Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur and Simchat Torah
• Hanukkah: Jewish Heroism
• Purim: being true to yourself
• Passover: from slavery to freedom
• Other holidays per request

We will use:

• Yoga
• Puppetry
• Story Telling
• Circus games
• music & singing
• Arts & Crafts

We will ask:

• How can we take better care of our world
• What makes a Jewish hero?
• How, and why, do we hide behind masks?
• What does freedom mean to you?

Dressing up - how does your attire inform others of who you are?
