AVOT VE'IMAHOT SERIES

This 10-sessions series focuses on our forefathers and mothers. We will explore their stories and face their challenges, incorporating Hebrew vocabulary in every class.

We will learn:

• Abraham's journey (Lech Lecha) to Israel
• God's promise - the children of Israel will be as countless as the stars
• Isaac's search for a bride - Rebecca as a role model
• Esau and Jacob - two brothers, two rival nations
• Jacob's wrestling with God - what does in mean to become Israel?

We will use:

• Yoga
• Dramatic acting
• Story Telling
• Circus games
• Arts & Crafts

We will ask:

• How can journeys be a meaningful tool in creating a change?
• What characteristics can make a person a good life partner?
• How does Judaism view respect towards parents?
• Is there karma in Judaism?
• What's in a name? How do our names define us and our actions?
